I don't ship it, but yes. Yes it was.

I mean, the scene itself was ridiculous and part of me wishes the entire theory bits with Anderson and the fangroup hadn't been in the episode at all because it was a bit silly for my tastes (And my tastes are definitely a bit silly, so idk why it didn't entirely work for me), but I won't deny how hot that kiss was. And the hair ruffle. Mmm.

The opposite for me. Even though this kiss and the Moriarty one was fun, series 3 killed my interest. Sigh.

It was an awesome kiss.

It would've been hot without the context, but when I saw it, I just felt embarrassed and annoyed because it felt like the showrunners were being really clumsy at manipulating the fandom for the squee. I know that's the whole point of writing and TV, but it shouldn't feel so condescending, as if they think the audience are idiots.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-11 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
...did you see the reactions on Tumblr that hot mess got? The fandom are idiots.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-11 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know. But the scene clearly worked the way it was supposed to with the OP, and I was trying to be nice.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-12 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
But it was a lie! Well, an imagined scenario technically. But it really didn't sit well with me. I don't want Molly to be the butt of the joke anymore. She's an awesome person who deserves to at least love someone other than that annoying bastard.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-12 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
I thought that way at first, but I think in the latest season she's become less of a joke. She and Sherlock seem on more even footing now. He's still kind of a dick though.

DA

I think it's a case of too little too late for me. She was a joke for nearly two full seasons, so the fact that they're trying to make some use out of the character now feels like backpedaling.
