Tbh, while I think there's a lot worthless subreddits and awful communities, I think reddit is the least worthless because it has the most potential for discussion and preventive measures for repeating content.

(Sorry if this posts multiple times, my internet is derping.)

It's an MRA subreddit. The name is a reference to the Matrix movies, when you "take the red pill" you decide to wake up from a bullshit fantasy land and see the world as it really is. MRAs are convinced that the world is slanted against men and most people have closed their eyes to it, and they are the few who have chosen to take the red pill and woken up to see just how awful and hard teh menz have it.

It's not a very good place, obviously.

This. I wouldn't really call any board on 4chan "good" but there are some boards and certain threads that I get enjoyment out of; its also just knowing where not to go, which can only be learned first hand or be told by someone who know's 4chan rather well.
