I saw some interviews where a Russian politian was complaining that the win proved Eurovision was overrun by sodommites.

I need to rant too! It's just so ill-informed!

Because:
- most people in the world who indulge in sodomy are actually in hetrosexual relationships
- we don't know if Conchita Wurst is even gay
- in fact, most transvestites are straight
- and why does he care so much, that's just creepy

Arrgh! Arrgh! Arrrgh!

It's like that civil partnership between two lesbians that happened in my town, and Christian protesters turned up with huge posters warning about the evils of sodomy. Sodomy! At a lesbian wedding!

It would be funny except that the polititians in charge of us actually believe this shit. Even our equality minister believes gay people are unnatural, when homosexuality is common in the animal kingdom, ie very natural indeed. How is our country being run by people who are so ignorant of basic facts?

Again - aargh!

Tom Neuwirth (that is his real name) is gay. He created the figure of Conchita Wurst because of the discrimination he suffered in his youth and he hopes that his appearances as Conchita Wurst will help other youths who struggle.

Oh okay, I didn't know he was gay. He did give a speech after his win about how someone's sexuality didn't matter, which should be true, so I thought he might have just declined to comment.

See, Sodomy isn't just anal sex. It's basically everything that's not heterosexual sex for the purpose of procreation. It's sometimes used to refer to oral sex and beastiality as well. So technically, most lesbians are indeed sodomites. And so are virtually every non ultra-christian person of any sexuality that isn't asexuality (and even some of them) ever.

I see. They define sodomy in their own little way, one that has no relation to the legal definition, the dictionary definition, or the way it's generally used by most people.

That actually does explain a lot. It does make them look a bit silly, but I understand now why they wave 'sodomy!' signs at lesbians and think they're telling the truth.
