but if some people don't want to identify as such , the they shouldn't have to. Like...if they want to call yourself something else, why should that matter as long as they don't act like a shithead to people?

I feel like a lot of people on the internet can be a bit self righteous about their ideology. It happens on all sides of the spectrum too, not just one. They decide that they and their group can be the only "good people" and if someone else points out flaws in their ideologies they respond by hissing and spitting and then being all "well you must be scum" or insisting people do it because "you should be on OUR side."

I remember seeing someone saying they wish to kill women who don't ID as feminist and then themselves and I found it just a bit horrifying. Like that kind of shit is messed up.
