I believe abortion should be legal, that a right to abortion is contained within a right to privacy, and that the right to privacy is constitutional.

However, Roe v Wade is a bad decision, it should be overturned immediately, and the legality of abortion should not be determined through the judiciary.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the Roe v Wade ruling was precarious. The due process clause gets so much use a yoga pose should be named after it.

Both the legality of abortion and the right to privacy is on such a precarious standing right now that I don't know if overturning it would end well for women on a state-by-state basis.

Yeah that's the trap. The difficulty. It probably would mean that a lot of red states would outlaw abortion. And that would suck a nd be awful. I really believe that. But otoh we live in a democracy and if the people believe that protecting the unborn is more important than privacy, how can I say otherwise?
