Re: To no one's surprise, Captain America
I read a lot of the X-titles, but never Captain America (or Thor for that matter) - but hey, I like superhero movies in general.
I was already pretty upset about Bucky "dying" in the last film, because I really liked him (and hey, to be shallow, he's actually so much more my type than Cap).
So, I basically went in unspoiled. Somany feelings. Those facial expressions killed me. Also, just so much more love nd respect for Steve now (a character I was mostly indifferent to). So, well one Marvel. I think I'll need o read the comics now. And consume a shitton of fanfic/fan art. And accept being a little in love with Bucky...
Re: To no one's surprise, Captain America
I almost wish I hadn't known about Bucky simply because the reveal would've been AMAZING. One of the reasons I was so excited to see the film was to see how people reacted to the reveal, lol. I'm sad I haven't got to go again.
I've loved Steve since the beginning but I do think this film did a better job of making him a more interesting and well rounded character. It did that with everyone, really.
You should at least read the Winter soldier arc! It was really good. There's so much good fanfic too, I can barely keep up with it. Now is a good time to be a Cap (And Bucky) fan.

Any idea what the best issues(or bundles) are to get that. Don't want to wade through decades of Captain America comics.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0785143416?pc_redir=1399652926&robot_redir=1 this is the beginning, I think but I also think there's another two or three volumes after that.
Re: To no one's surprise, Captain America
I have so many feelings about Bucky.
Re: To no one's surprise, Captain America
And I of course agree; Bucky went through hell in First Avenger. He wasn't the same guy after he went off to war (even more so I imagine after he had been experimented on by Zola). Through it all he stuck by Steve, though. The fact he had Steve's back and went back into the fight just so he could be by his side is beautiful and amazing. Even though Steve was perfectly capable of taking take of himself, he wouldn't leave his buddy.
Ugh, Bucky Barnes...
icon buddies! *high five*
Bucky is absolutely heartbreaking. He still wanted to protect Steve, cuz that's what he does, even if Steve is the one doing most of the protecting now... and then in Winter Soldier his memories of Steve are strong enough to break through the Winter Soldier's programming, only to have them taken away yet again. He just can't catch a break. ;__;
Re: icon buddies! *high five back!* we have good taste
Ugh, it's painful thinking about all the shit he's went through. He went through enough shit during the war, he deserved a rest. Instead he gets brainwashed and used against the country he's given up so much for and against the person who meant most to him. Bucky is going to have do many issues, and you can't even blame the poor guy. I just hope he gets the help he needs and he and Steve can be bff's again and support each other. I just want them to be happy.
Damn you Marvel!
the best taste
I refuse to believe such people actually exist. D: How can anybody not fall for Sebastian Stan when he does those eyes?
The next movie should just be a bunch of therapy and hugs and Disney movie marathons. Of course it'll probably tear my heart to pieces instead, so I've been trying to fill the gap with fanfiction. Bless this fandom for being so prolific with Bucky fic.
