I don't really give a shit about Steam's DRM. From what I know about the DRM, I have never found it that obtrusive or obstructive in any way. Short of Valve pulling a (I think Spore) DRM type bullshit where you can only install a game 3 times before it stops working, I'm totally fine with the Steam DRM. I also don't care that I don't technically own the game unlike places like Good Old Games.

The Steam/DRM argument is old and tired and done to death. At this point you can either deal with it, go play console games, or take up knitting.

Basically I agree with you but I don't think anyone cares anymore and the ones that do don't play anything made after 1999 anyway.

I do get a bit frustrated when I buy a game in a store, precisely because I want to own a copy, and then I get home and discover it only works if you register it on Steam. (This has happened to me twice, once with Lost Planet and once with Trine. In the former case, something went wrong with the registration, so I never actually got to play it.)
