Ehh, I'm inclined to disagree.

Even if it is entirely subjective, getting a feel on how other people feel about a piece of entertainment can be helpful in deciding if you want to experience it for yourself.

Sure, how other people feel, but not how you're going to feel about it, unless you agree with the general consensus reviews about literally everything. There are films with 90%+ audience ratings on Rotten Tomatoes that I thought were dogshit, and 70% ones I thought were brilliant. Entertainment, and attractiveness (the other thing pop culture tends to try to judge on a scale of 10) are largely subjective, even if you can argue for some few objective qualities.
