My boyfriend finished his exams this weekend, and turned in his last assignment for school, so aside from paperwork, he's graduated. And to celebrate, we had a board game/sous vide steak night at my friends' house. I don't eat steak, but everyone else's reaction was quite fun. And then we had the most intense game of Battlestar Galactica I've played yet.

And I started Crossfit classes this morning. Which is awesome, but also ow.

That all sounds really awesome!

Crossfit? I mean I gather it's a kind of fitness class, but what is it exactly?

It's a sort of philosophy of fitness thing. The idea is to do a combination of weight work and high-intensity interval training for a high level of general fitness, rather than focusing mostly on cardio or weights or sports skills.

Mostly I decided to do it because I have a couple friends who've done it or similar programs, and it seems to work really well. Here's an about page from the general program's website http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/what-is-crossfit.html

that's awesome! best of luck! and it does sound like a very good approach (for what that's worth, since this is definitely not my area of expertise).
