My point is that I thought it went way beyond the religious concept of karma as I understand it and had other overarching themes that are very interesting (imo).

There's also more to Hinduism than karma, though. Why didn't OP put all of that, IDK, there's only so much space in a secret?

Obviously there's more to Hinduism than karma - but OP didn't phrase it that way (and let's be honest, that would have taken like one extra line).

Since all secret posters are anonymous here and we do not have extra info, then the sentences chosen in the secret ARE our only frame of reference.

Obviously it will be less of a though-provoking to someone who has already thought about a lot of these concepts - well duh.

I'm just saying simply reducing the film to being "about karma" does do the story injustice.

This is true. You read the book on the level it was meant to be read, rather than being distracted by surface style elements like the OP.
