Yeah, I have no idea how to handle the gender stuff in a more modern context. I think the family honor stuff would actually work really well as-is within the Saotome/Tendo clan, but have everyone else in the world constantly pointing out how completely ridiculous it is.

But holy shit, Ranma fights animated with something like Attack on Titan quality? That would be AMAZING.

The two characters that would suffer most from the revised views on gender are Ryoga and Nabiki. For the time what Nabiki did was fairly harmless, a little creepy but not especially so, these days that is stuff that would have her be a registered sex offender (it was a satire on how women moving into the business world were somehow screwing their family, and good old Japanese family values, in doing so). And Ryoga's posing as P-Chan which was intended to be even less creepy is just holy crap borderline rape and sexual assault. They'd have to change the most. Pretty sure Genma would be unchanged, as an island of idiocy in an ever changing sea of jackassery.
