Cyberpunk seems to be on the way back in, so maybe (hopefully?) someone would do this. How would you deal with the blank slate protagonist/choices in the the original DX, though?

JC isn't really a blank slate, though. His characterization is fairly consistent throughout (dialogue choices tend to be very simple, usually "say something" "buy something" "leave".) He's very deadpan but with a sarcastic streak and is a touch naive, leading to situations where you can't always tell if he's being serious or making a joke. ("A bomb is a bad choice for close range combat." No shit, JC?) And ultimately the choices you make don't really matter that much -- you can't decide not to break away from UNATCO, for example.

Probably the single most important choice you make is the ending, and I would probably use the Helios ending with elements of the other two. I feel the Helios ending is the one that fits the game's themes the best, ties in perfectly with JC as a Christ figure, and let's be real, Deus Ex has always been more about the cyberpunk than the conspiracy.

Ahhhh, it's been so many years since I last played it that I can hardly remember how he was characterized. I remember this though, loooool.

Well, the Deus Ex Revision mod is close to being complete, so it might be time to pull out your old copy soon. <3

Ahhhhhhhhhh this will be so many hours I don't really have, gloriously wasted. Thanks a lot.

The best part is, it's JUST redesigned levels. All the VA and quests and whatnot will be otherwise intact.

The strange, sometimes illogical map design was my one big pet peeve with the game.
