Yeah I'm feeling that about One Piece. One of my favorite scenes in the manga is when Kuma sends all the straw hats to different islands, and I love it because it's intense and emotional and feels like it takes place in the span of two minutes. Stretching that out to a whole episode with long, drawn-out reaching and reactions pretty much killed the mood for me.

Yeah, you just can't keep that sort of emotional tension for 20 minutes, and there are a lot of similar moments.
