I vaguely recall a novel built around that concept

Platonic blowjobs, I mean--the author was quite insistent that it couldn't possibly be as romantic for men to blow each other if those men were gay. It was called Danny, but I don't remember the author's name. It was compared unfavorably to Twilight, and the only book I've seen make people angrier was Save the Pearls.

Oh God, I remember that vaguely from Fandom Wank. Wasn't the author very insistent that the title was DANNY, not Danny (because the capslock matters!)?
