[Criminal Minds, Elle Greenaway]

prentiss is just better

sorry

No, she isn't. Couldn't even get the job without help from mommy. Elle was better in thhe short time she was than Prentiss was over multiple seasons. It was the worst thing that happened to CM.

Does it have to be a competition? Prentiss was awesome and so was Elle. And Prentiss' mom may have gotten her the job, but she proved herself very quickly.

Managed to keep the job, excel AND not alienate her superiors or co-workers while doing it, though.

Actually it was strongly implied that it was Strauss who put Emily on the team (episode 3x02), it had nothing to do with the Ambassador.

On one hand, hell yes

On the other, Prentiss is one of my favorite characters from anything ever (tied with Garcia, because Garcia).

Elle's entire storyline in her last two episodes felt rushed, to the point where it pulled me out of otherwise well-written stories. She was definitely treated unfairly and I'm still pissed that she's gone, even if I love Emily.

Didn't the actress basically choose to leave the show?

Or am I misremembering things?

Yes, she chose to leave the show, doesn't change the fact her exit was poorly written.

I agree - I loved both Greenaway and Prentiss. I would have loved to see them work together.

Elle's trauma storyline was really interesting to me, especially the way that Hotch knew but couldn't prove what she'd done and then...she just quit. I totally expected her to be back in a few episodes but she never was.

What pisses me off about her story is that everything she went through was completely negated when the woman they saved was killed in a later season by someone else.

I vehemently disliked Elle's character and was glad to see her go, but I do feel like her exit was really rushed and not a true service to her character.

They didn't handle Gideon's exit any better, so whatever.

I was just happy to see Elle leave. For whatever reason, I never warmed up to her at all. Although, if I think about it, I could say it probably had a little to do with the thin pull over shirt she wore with no bra and a shoulder holster outlining the area of her perky breasts and prominent nipples in the episode about the pedo auctioning off the little boy online (I think it was that episode). It was a serious matter, getting that little boy back, and there Elle was, chesticles on full display in a way that no FBI agent would ever be caught doing (I hope).

JJ never did that. And neither did Garcia.

And Prentiss would rather fly tackle the pedo to the ground with her gigantic gun up his grill than stand with her hands on her hips, showing off her assets. Which is why she was such an awesome addition to the team and why I stopped watching when they fired her and JJ.

I agree.
