What is stopping you from drawing and writing it now?

OP

(Anonymous) 2014-05-14 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
I think it's a combination of multiple things.

- I'm kind of scatterbrained, and so I find people requesting things greatly helps my motivation and work ethic. If I know someone is waiting for a fill, it motivates me to polish things up and actually post them; otherwise I tend to lose interest halfway through.

- Or get self-conscious. I'm a bit shy about posting random unsolicited fanworks on the internet (especially of the porny kind, but really all kinds of fic too, sadly). Not sure why really, but here again it helps motivate me to take the plunge on a lot of things if I know someone might enjoy it. I probably need to stop relying on this crutch but it does make things much easier for me!

- I also am not good at generating plot ideas or fic/art premises/scenarios, so I find kink/prompt memes super helpful in that regard, because otherwise I just experience a block. In general, reading other people's prompts really helps get my creative juices flowing.

Perhaps post on tumblr for requests/prompts? Just use the fandom tags and you might get some people.
