Today is Chuck Schuldiner's birthday. Before he died of cancer in 2001 Chuck was one of the nicest people in metal music, a big difference from the self-absorbed, elitist manchildren that most of the rest of the scene tends to be.

I mean, the guy wore a shirt with kittens on it to interviews.
