If two people were interested in you, and one had the most attractive face you'd ever seen and an average body and one had an average face and the sexiest body ever, who do you think you would be more attracted to?

While I wouldn't be opposed to either, I'd probably go for average face/sexy body, since I find various fantasy and sci-fi races attractive, I doubt "average" face would be still pretty attractive. Plus all the attractive faces I can think of that are..."objectively" attractive I find kinda just slightly more attractive than a normal person's face.

The reason I asked was because I used to think I would always choose the face option, but recently I've been thinking about two guys I know who roughly fit the hypothetical situation I described (not the sexiest evar, obvs, but definitely attractive to.me). And the one with the body has been taking up a lot more of my thoughts, which was surprising to me. But not a bad thing!

I'd date a potato schlub with a sexy voice and imaginative hands who can make me laugh over a hot/pretty with nothing to say.

The one with the sexy body. If we are just talking, it doesn't really matter what their face (or body) looks like, but when the clothes come off, the body is way more important to me.

Body, if we're talking about if they had a face that was average and a body that was sexy according to my particular tastes, not, like, conventional tastes. Looking at a nice face is lovely, but getting to touch a nice body, even if it's just getting to hold a gorgeous hand (I like hands)? No compare, for me.

Define "average". Healthy weight and young, "average", or middle-aged and average BMI (i.e. overweight) "average"?

Face by far. Bodies are nice of course, but...if the person in question wanted to they could lose/gain weight, buff up, etc. There's only so much you can do to change your face besides plastic surgery. (Mind you, there's nothing wrong with not being conventionally attractive, but given the choice I would care more about the person's face.)

Faces are nice and we spend a lot of time looking at them.

Face. Just speaking in terms of time spent, it's way more likely I'll spend more time looking at someone's face than their body. Because, you know, clothes.

I'm only half kidding, but seriously. I'm less interested in sexy bodies cause they're a dime a dozen.

Face. If I preferred bodies at all a certain way, I'd have never started dating my boyfriend. He's certainly no Adonis.

Face. As long as the body is not unattractive to me, face all the way. (I also don't think there's much difference for me between body I find averagely attractive and sexiest body ever, because I don't find many bodies attractive. So I might be cheating a little.)

is it weird that i have different answers for different genders?

with a guy i'd go for the better body because i'm always picker with what men i'm attracted to, and i'm attracted to a wider range of faces anyway

but with a woman i'd go with the better face, because i think most women's bodies are hot as hell anyway.

That is a surprisingly difficult question. Huh. I think I'd go for ultra-handsome, average body. You see people's faces more often than their bodies. On the other hand, I find my husband's body really hot even when it's clothed. Something about the way clothes hang off his shoulders and ass. I DON'T KNOW, ANON. I'll take both, ok.

One night stand? I'll go with the body because that's the one I'll be spending more time playing with. Anything more than that, such as starting a real relationship with? I wouldn't choose either of them because ultimately it's unfair to them too. I want someone whose body and face is both attractive to me, and I'm pretty sure that special someone would want to feel like I find both very attractive. Think about it. Would you give your time to someone who thought, "You have a pretty body/face, but everything else about you is average."? I sure as hell wouldn't.
