Anyone else a serial procrastinator

I'm seriously procrastinating on exams. All of mine are take-home, and I'm struggling with motivating myself to take them. Anyone else have this issue? I do much better when I'm working on a specific schedule.

Yep.

I had an essay due this Monday morning, and I put it off for so long that, by the time I actually had time to write it, other stuff had come up. >_>;

(I did get it finished, though.)

I know I am. A friend emailed me over a month ago to wish me happy birthday and I still haven't gotten back to him. I wish he was just on Skype, that's much easier, but I've only got email since he's too busy to Skype D: I'm a lousy friend.

Same here. I fall apart entirely without a schedule of some kind. It took me hours to finish a single homework task tonight and I still wound up on F!S too...

Yeah. I am currently on week 6 out of 12 for writing my bachelor thesis ... In a battle Thesis Work vs Procrastination, Thesis Work would just be a smear left on the pavement

Oh God, yes. It's why I still don't have a summer job. But I do have an interview tomorrow, so hopefully that'll go on well!

When I was doing my BA, I would procrastinate a lot on my essays, but still managed to get them done in time (there was a point where I wrote 3 simultaneously because they all were due around the same time). Now that I'm in art school though, I've had to push myself a lot more because they're really strict with project deadlines.

I am so bad at procrastinating. I've done everything from doing the laundry, washing the dishes and cleaning the entire house(top to bottom) in order to put off something I was doing. I have yet to find a foolproof way of kicking me out of it once I get started but I tend to find that if I start doing work with music on I am slightly less prone to procrastination?

Jesus fuck, yes.

I famously ended up having to write what is still by far the longest paper I've ever written in one day.

On the plus side, they're take-home exams so you're guaranteed to do well if you put in the effort.

I do the same thing though. I put off doing school work until the last minute, even doing other useful things (like cleaning or sorting stuff) to procrastinate since it makes me feel less guilty than just dicking around

maybe try setting a schedule to do them? like make an hour block to get one of them done, and plan to immediately spend another hour doing something you like? idk

Except this is laws school, so they are each supposed to take 3-4 hours. I've gotten one done, but I meant to get 2 done by now and it didn't happen.
