Considering that a lot of people use Tumblr-style tags that no one else would use on AO3, I don't think a lot of people understand the function of tags on AO3.

This is the biggest problem with AO3 tagging and it drives me absolutely up the wall. The tags are meant to be USEFUL for SEARCHING, not a summary+author's note!!
