The door thing is interesting to me, because I'm the exact opposite: I get nervous if I'm in a room where the door has been closed.

Do you know where your fear of snipers came from by any chance?

Huh, that's interesting! I don't know why it makes me so uncomfortable, but it's pretty pervasive. My bedroom door has to be closed at all times-- whether I'm sleeping or just eating dinner in my room. The only exception is the bathroom door, which I pretty much always leave open.

The fear of snipers is probably because I lived in DC during the DC sniper attacks in 2002. Though I honestly never realized it until I was telling my friend about said fear in about 2009, when she reminded me that would probably be why. Weird the things that stick with you!
