do they tell that to all the people eating at McDonald's in non-US countries?
it's FOOD, for fuck's sake. You eat it because it tastes good. Eating sushi or tacos or baklava =/= pretending that that's part of your heritage, or making fun of it, or disrespecting someone's religion or traditions, or anything like that.
