Absolutely overrated. I'm about ready to swear off eating bacon forever. I'm sick of seeing it, hearing about how wonderful it is, and having it in basically every food item known to mankind.

yo, I figured the omg bacon is the bestest thing ever fad ended like a year or two ago, so I could talk about how flabby bacon is awful and get like minded individuals (and delusion dissenters) to voice their opinion on this super important topic on this prestigious community without getting the "i'm so tired of everyone obsessing over bacon" crap.

Yeah I like crispy better. But what really makes a difference is if it's thick-cut. Thick-cut bacon is pretty decent. Or even some nice country ham.

I like flabby bacon because it tends to be more chewy. So I'm with you on the chewy thing. I'm glad I'm not alone. Do you know how to make good, chewy bacon?

Put it on top of a meatloaf. That makes the best chewy bacon.

Of course, that's kind of a lot to go through just to get some bacon. But now the next time you make meatloaf, you'll think to put bacon on it, and everything will be amazing!
