Re: Cultural appropriation?

Honestly, I don't even consider the wearing of non-religious clothing to be cultural appropriation. Most clothing styles were drawn from multiple cultures and influences, anyway, and they're not exactly monolithic. If nothing else, they are usually just used to cause stupid wank over an act that is often perfectly respectful in context and taken out of context intentionally so people have their 15 minutes on the high horse.

And here's my question about food being culturally appropriating - what happens if a person of one ethnicity eats food from another ethnicity? I'm Indian - am I culturally appropriating every time I eat Mexican food, or Chinese food? What is it when I eat my Nicaraguan boyfriend's homecooking? And what was it that one time my Indian dad and his white girlfriend made tequila curry?
