I didn't like Mare Do Well either, though I didn't mind Best Pet. I just find that her flaws have been exaggerated to the point of being really awful, like she's just gotten more brash, more bossy, more obnoxious, and also more 2D. It makes me sad. :(

I started out loving Rd as well. But, like most of the fandom who went this way, RD being teh jerk she was in season 2 just made all B[ and at that time, Rarity was beginning to REALLY shine and I've loved her ever since. I'm still lukewarm to RD, though she was her season 1 self this season, which made me happy.
