I used to hate cooking, but I learned to bake. I quite enjoy that!

I have this weird sort of *relationship* with cooking. I don't mind it per se, but for years and years i had undiagnosed Crohn's, so a lot of food made me feel sick/hurt, i could rarely finish a meal, i felt crappy a *lot* with no real idea why. I mean, i stopped eating salad and corn for like a decade, because i got sick of being in so much pain the next day.

But i *had* to cook, because the SO worked and i didn't so someone made the meals and i'd make a meal and then have zero interest in eating it, or since his family at different foods than mine growing up, i didn't want to eat ham and beans and greens and hominy, so that sucked and i didn't want to make *two* meals....

I can finally eat (mostly) normally again, but my SO's hours are weird, as are mine, and i don't want to make dinner at ten o'clock at night, or ask 'what do you want to eat' only to get a blank stare and 'food'.... Frustrating!

I make bread sometimes, and cake and stuff, and i make food that i like to make and eat and is good, but when push come to shove, i'd rather crackers and cheese than break out the pans (plus you have to GO SHOPPING for food, which i detest).
