5. 장화, 홍련/ A Tale of Two Sisters kind of disappointed me. I'm pretty cowardly myself, but although there's no doubt it was beautifully filmed and the storyline was fascinating it went so slowly in places it lost it's grip on me a little. Did you know it's being remade by hollywood? The original director has no say in what is done to it, sadly.

no, i haven't read the manga. i can't afford it - i own the first two, but short of going to the store and sitting there for hours i don't really have a choice.

besides, i really liked the anime. it's not wrong to like something for being what it is, not what it should be, even if it was meant to be. its like people who like the harry potter movies. they're terribly off from the books, but as movies they're fine.

i love the cc manga art, though, and besides immortal rain its the only series i'm actively collecting.

Ah, I'm not saying it's wrong. You like what you like. It's just my opinion that if you liked the anime, you'd love the manga in its entirety (it keeps getting better as it goes along). Like I said, I don't mind the anime either (I bought all of the DVDs for it), but I look at it apart from the manga. It DOES follow for awhile, somewhat, but then it goes off into its own course. That's what tended to confuse me about the two.

If at all possible though, I still recommend the manga if you can ever save up for the last six volumes. It's really worth the investment.

Are you me? Because the thing I love the most about RoxasAxel is how tragic their relationship really was. ILU.
