Is it really full of dicks? I remember reading the first few pages and a guy mentioned he had a nightmare about being chased by dicks, and then an excerpt where a disembodied dick was squeezed through a keyhole. Though I read the second one on Cracked so I thought it was a joke.

A book being full of stuff like that sounded kind of... exhausting and boring, so I dunno if I should pick it up.

Like...I don't remember dicks at all? Of all the bizarre, frightening imagery in the book, dicks are not the thing that sticks out at all.

as far as i remember, there's no dicks through a keyhole but there is a scene where a monster turns the doornob into a dick so neither of them dare to touch it to turn it. idk i really don't like that sort of humor but i did find the book interesting and it does some cool things with your perception of what happens.

there is a lot of stupid dude humor and dick/fart jokes certainly crop up more than once but i never found it distracting or off-putting even though it's not my thing at all. david wong will make a dick joke and then a page later drop some seriously creepy existentialism on you, it's brilliant. i hope you decide to give it another shot!

A different person dropping in who did end up finding some of the humor in that book off-putting. I don't know, it felt like it was trying too hard. I liked the movie better.
