So I've got body tapes and I feel more confident because of it. Like, yeah, I'm doing sport, I have tapes, this is so progressive. So I'm thinking maybe tatoos have a similar effect?

I looked up body tape because I've never seen it on anyone. Looks colorful! I think tatoo should have a special meaning and boosting confidence is just a side effect.

Ummm what do you mean by "body tapes"? Like Kinesio tape for injuries you've gotten playing sports? I'm not really sure I get how that's "progressive" though?

Yes, kinesio tape. Progressive in a sense that it makes me feel more cool, like I'm into some extreme sports. I was thinking radical, but used progressive. I'm not saying it is, it just makes me feel this way. It's silly, really.

Haha okay. I was a little confused, but I actually totally get what you mean. It does make me feel kinda cool when I have tape on although it's usually because I've injured myself doing something lame lol

Hrmmmmmm. I guess that depends?
A lot of people get tattoos as a memorial, or to cover a scar (or a tattoo they hated) so there is definitely an emotional aspect to them. Some tattoos are just to show how much that person loves a certain thing, so they make you feel happy/special. Others are there to make you feel sexy (or that's a side-effect of the design) and yes, some tattoos make you feel bad-ass, especially when you have a full back piece and the little huddle of Marines are listening in awe and terror to their buddy say how much his little yin-yang on his shoulderblade hurt and you turn around and go 'oh, well, it's not *that* bad' and hear them all gasp....

So, in short....yes. :)
