Re: Non-fandom secrets

I'm 27 and two years ago, I was convinced I was one of those people who would live their life happily without kids, but now I think about having kids more and more. Problem is, I'm in a lesbian relationship, which is unfortunately still heavily discriminated against both legally and socially in this country, and I find myself daydreaming about raising children with a man.

I'm sorry you are experiencing confusion, anon. I hope you can figure out what you want and how to make it happen and that people don't stand in you're way.

Personally I've found a happy medium. I like kids and I don't want one and I'm okay with that. I've decided I'm just going to be the awesome aunt whenever my sister and/or friends have kids. I can have fun with other people's kids. I know I don't want one and that hasn't changed. I've just realized that its okay to admit that I like kids even though I don't want one of my own.

That sucks, anon. Maybe think about volunteering with kids, if you don't already (I realise that's by no means the same as or a replacement for wanting to have your own kids).

If you can't adopt, go to a sperm bank?
