I'm so angry at Tumblr right now.

I just got up from trying and failing to take a nap to find drama with two RP blogs in my fandom -- let's call them A and B. B's character had a romantic interest in A's character, who didn't reciprocate, and A kept getting anons ranging from nagging to outright hostile because A's character wouldn't go out with B's character. Earlier today, A posted that they were really uncomfortable with this and that their character would no longer be interacting with B's character.

Between then and now, people decided that B, not the anons, were the ones upsetting A, and have been sending B death threats and other awful bullshit. I vaguely know A, and I know they're really upset by this. I don't know B at all but I don't think I know anyone who wouldn't be at least somewhat upset by this. And a part of me suspects (with no basis, mind, it's just my cynical side) that at least some of the anons sending B hate are the same ones who harassed A, in which case not only are they horrible, but completely missing the fact that they're hurting other people for things that were their fault in the first place.

If there was ever a time I wished I could punch strangers through the internet, this would be it. Argh. Punching wouldn't be enough. I just. I can't. This is not okay, not at all, and I can't stand it. I can't stand the fact that it's happening. I've sent both A and B asks saying it's not their fault that people are being disgusting, but that's about all I can do.

It never ceases to amaze me how bored some people have to be that they get it into their stupid little heads that shit like this would be a good idea and great entertainment.

They're anons who are butthurt over two RP'ers not taking the story where the anons want? Fuck them. Tell those stupid anons to go start their OWN RP and play the story how they want if they're going to get their panties in a wad over it.
