Documentaries cause me to come up with weird head canon.

Last night I watched a documentary, "How beer saved the world" which argues that the rise of agriculture, and civilization was due to the production of beer. One of the people on there actually said without beer humans would probably still be living in caves. Sound familiar?

In Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Kyubey said humanity would still be living in caves without the interference of the incubators. Now it is my head canon that one of the first, if not the first magical girl on earth wished for beer, or far more likely the knowledge of how to make it. I want to see this as a manga, or something now. I wonder if she had beer based powers.

Kyubey was a lying dicktool, though. I didn't really come out of that believing his story about human origins.

He withheld facts, yeah, but never actually lied.

I think "humanity would still be living in caves if not for ___" is a pretty common thing to say.

NAYRT

I totally think it's true for beer. Alcohol is a big constant among civilizations.

Actually, hunter-gatherers (which I assume is what is meant here by "cave dwellers") and early farmers coexisted for several thousand years; into the early Bronze Age, in fact. The theory that agriculture came along and everyone started adopting it and becoming sedentary farming civilizations is looking less and less true.
