Endeavour?

[personal profile] dreemyweird 2014-05-17 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
So I'm back to watching it (dropped it momentarily when season 1 ended), mostly because of the Morse&Thursday dynamics, Oxford, and Wagner. I find that Endeavour's plots have always been a bit messy and nonsensical: for one, I find it hard to keep up with a kajillion storylines that are all mentioned in passing. And this season it was what - a mason arc? Really? Really? It would have been both more original and more impressive if it were just a seven-hour long documentary about actual masons constructing a brick wall.

Still, I think I can put up with the nonsense (and, might I add, with multiple instances of the Cartwright curse) as long as it isn't screwing up the characters.

And that is something that worries me. After Elementary and Sherlock, I'm bitterly paranoid when it comes to currently-airing series. Will Endeavour develop its characters logically AND get a proper series finale? Ah, I want to hope :/
