This. IMO the only people who view Conchita as a fighter for the LGBT+ rights are homo- and transphobes. She's a drag persona and it's great that her creator is famous and sings quality stuff without letting assholes get to him, but at no point did either she or he indicate that it was done for the sake of social justice or "representation". Of course it's business, why would anyone expect it to be otherwise? How is he any different from any other performer of this kind? Why is it that when a performer is straight+heterosexual it is a given that he enters Eurovision-type contests for fame and money, but when they are something else they suddenly have to fight for -representation- rather than earning their living?
