Good shows to marathon versus good shows to watch as they air?
(Anonymous) 2014-05-17 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)And what shows do you think are better watched as they air or occassionally?

better watched as they air: comedies.

I think there are some shows that are bad to watch live (basically, shows that are bad), but if a show is good, I don't think I'm going to enjoy it more or less if I watch it live. It's really not that big of a difference, honestly.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-17 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)Especially with Leverage it was really glaring that it's 1) always the same, 2) completely over the top/unrealistic and 3) honestly, not that good. I think having seen it only once a week instead of several episodes at once would have been a lot better. Now I think of it as a modern A-Team with less explosions, but just as ridiculous.
White Collar held up a little bit better, at least in the early seasons, but when you marathon a series you really notice when it jumps the shark.
