Bucky IS incredibly attractive. And do you mean gen recs for the first film? I rec'd two here http://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/1011804.html?thread=748469084#cmt748469084 but they're for Winter Soldier.

I've seen very little gen lately, and while I'm sure I read some in the past I don't have them bookmarked. Sorry! (I'm sure they would be under gen on ao3 though, if you're interested?)

Oh, and the rec's list that lunabee rec'd (in the thread I just linked) has some gen fic, but I haven't got around to those yet. I imagine they're good, though!

(Also, my dad adored Winter Soldier without seeing The First Avenger, but I think if you feel up to it, Winter Soldier would be better having seen it. It isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I adore that film and it sets everything that comes after very well.)
