It's ok. But the initial gripping of the story sorta fell away for me when Claire had to leave and went looking for Catherine. That and the tropes she uses are tired. The Twins? annoying as shit. and I HATE the blatant look a likes. she's trying to get this thing published ffs, and she has a nun that looks exactly like Yoda, sans the ears? A nun that looks like Helga from Atlantis the Lost Empire? And others that I can't remember right off bat?

I also hate how her art style looks like crap at times, but she acts like the end all be all of that stuff. Just..ugh.

She wouldn't bother me so much if she'd just...get off her high horse.

Thank you so much for mentioning her art. I've got a few friends who are major Yamino fans, and whenever they share any of her art, it's like... really? This is it? The lines are ill-planned, the eyes/faces bug the hell out of me for some reason, and the color schemes are downright painful at times. I don't think I could even try reading the comic because of it.

A little late, but yeah, I just read the whole comic and Yamino's really blatant with the look-a-likes, to the point where they're not references but out-right rip-offs. Making the mentor character look similar to Yoda? Fine, not that funny, but fine. But she made the character speak just like Yoda. That's kind of crossing a line from parody to 'wow you're not even trying'. And of course the Oscar character turned out to be trans (she's based of the famous cross-dressing Lady Oscar character).

Wasn't Yamino the one who got really offended at the Adventure Time gender-swap episode and how it "made fun of shippers"? Or am I just remembering wrong?

I have no clue about the Adventure Time stuff. I know she's an avid fan of the vampire and princess characters, but otherwise, I have no clue. It wouldn't surprise me though. even though she doesn't really come right and say it, I get the impression that she REALLY hates guys, so...seeing her favorites genderswapped? Probably.
