I just think that the main actors, with the exception of Misha, are fucking jerks so I'd enjoy the idea of them being unemployed :P

Why do you think they're jerks?

Jensen has done some really sexist interviews about how showing emotion and crying is a "pansy" thing to do, and Jared made some ignorant comments about Philip Seymour Hoffman's death.

He has? I'd like a link to one of those, 'cause i've never heard him say anything like that. On the contrary, he's talked often about how emotional he gets when he has to do an emotional scene, and how hard it is to get out of that mind-set.

I know, Jezebel - but they have some screencaps of the tweet.

OH, yes, i saw that. And yes, thoughtless. Blurting out something without thinking it through rarely works well. But not exactly a hanging offense.

I'd like to know why, too. What have they ever done to make you think that?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-19 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Obviously, I'm not rbhudson, but I think JarPad is really flippant on Twitter. The tweets he made after Philip Seymour Hoffman's death were disgusting, and JarPad doesn't appear to respond to (valid) criticism very well at all.

Frankly, I don't watch the show (I've seen the first 28 episodes) and I've no idea what Jensen's done recently, but I also find Misha to be kind of a jerk. His sense of humor rubs me the wrong way a lot of the time. He's quite funny, but he just bugs me and I don't know why.

Hrmmmmm. One twitter 'thing' doesn't a jerk make, but then, i don't follow anyone's Twitter and only hear stuff second hand. Mr. Ackles is on *no* social media at all.

I admit Mr. Collins' humor isn't for everybody, but nothing i've ever heard from any con-going fan or 'randomly came into my coffee shop' fan has ever made me think any of them are jerks. They all seem to just be genuinely nice people who like to be involved in charity things and don't mind taking pictures and talking with fans at airports, shops, or wherever.

To each their own.
