The villains are rounded people with actual fucking backstory outside of being the Goblin and Doc Oc.

Umm are you trying to tell me that Alfred Molina's Doc Ock WASN'T a well rounded villain? He was lightyears ahead of anything that the reboot has had to offer. I'm also still pissed that they managed to wreck The Lizard by turning him into a stereotypical mad scientist and writing his family out entirely. While I'll admit that Andrew Garfield may be an improvement on Maguire, Raimi did the villains way more justice.
