DP covered my own objections to this comment quite well, but I will add:

"I'm not going to let..."

It's not really up to you or anyone else to let or stop anyone from feeling a certain way about their experiences. OP had misjudged their tolerances and took appropriate steps, you venturing your... lets say judgments on them for this isn't helpful and really only serves to make someone feel bad. As I said above unnecessarily harsh.

Again, if you want to be unnecessarily harsh, go for it, but if you'll take some honestly well-meaning advice from me, that approach is not going to make the places and people around you any happier.
