This pisses me off so much. Really, show? Really? You had to go there? WHY?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-19 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
didn't one of most the episodes nix the idea of them being a couple because they were too much like a brother and sister?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-19 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)

I don't really buy that they'd try to quash Bering/Wells...the show was well behind that. And they seem to keep saying about Pete and Myka that they're mostly like brother and sister. (I will admit that I find their partnership adorable, and as long as they keep throwing us all the bones [fakeish pregnancy! body-swapping! mind-reading!] I don't care if they actually go there or not. Best of both worlds baby!)

There's doing Mulder/Scully all over again, aren't they?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
Mulder and Scully had chemistry from the beginning, and neither Mulder nor Scully had other relationships that had to be quickly written off in order to force them together in a last minute asspull.

We'll find out tonight... :-/

I've never even heard of this show and I already feel you, OP.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
I've held off watching the season until I find out which way they're going to go on this, because I heard there'd been a lot of teasing. If they put them together I probably just won't watch. I'm not sure why I feel so strongly about it. Usually I'm fine with TV partners being paired off, but it's a huge no for me in this case. :(

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Their brother and sister relationship is great. I don't know why the writers decided to screw around with it in the final six episodes of the series.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
I feel the same way. I am glad to see I am not the only one.

I think it's really funny* that a good chunk of the fandom, even casual fans, is against them being paired romantically.

*In this case "funny" means "I am so pissed off about them getting together I can't see straight."

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Have you seen the finale? Do they really put them together?

Finale spoilers

Really? This is a surprise to you? I've only seen a handful of the episodes from season one and a couple from season two and I knew that they were likely to be paired together.

(And I think it's cute.)

Same. I've found a lot of shows I enjoy really fuck it up when it's over, ie. HIMYM.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. You lost.

Muahahahahahahahahahahaha!

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't realize it was a game, I just thought it as bad writing.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 12:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, I hope all those dykes who were shipping that dyke pairing up and killed themselves when their precious ship sank for the TRUE and only ship.

I thought this show ended a couple years ago. I am so confused.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 02:39 am (UTC)(link)
The show had a 14 month hiatus between seasons 3 and 4, and another super long hiatus before season 5, which only had six episodes. So you're mostly right.

the network made them do it, blame SyFy

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
SyFy network execs ordered the writers to pair them off, apparently under the delusion that this would please the fans, because network execs haven't the foggiest idea what the show is about, or what viewers want.

They are right for each other because they have complimentary sex organs. If we had been talking about two guys, they would have been wrong for each other and never paired up. Just be glad you live in a country that's so decisive and clear thinking about things like this.

Oh man really? I only saw a bit of Warehouse 13 but the two leads did not come off as interested in each other romantically at all and I liked it that way.

(Anonymous) 2014-05-20 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Post finale, yeah, that ruined it a bit for me. I rarely have a pairing that makes me go DNW, but Pete/Myka does. I loved their friendship so much.
