I could never decide if I wanted to ship. I'm all about Lois/Clark in every Superman incarnation and think they belong together. On the other hand, I'm all about friendship ships and Cloe and Clark were adorable too.

Yeah, it's Clark Kent goes to high school. But since the show was on for a DECADE! Clark Kent eventually ends up in Metropolis. Then it because like a strange Justice League type show with all sorts of superhero popping up like Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, Aquaman, Black Canary and The Flash.

I think mileage probably varies on this. Personally I got fed up with the show and quit after season six. But others loved the whole thing, so.... I guess it depends on what you're looking for out of it.

Chloe/Clark and Lex/Lana used to be my favorite Smallville pairings, back in the day.

i wasn't! what gave you that impression, the "do u need a hug"? i meant it! it just struck me as a bit bad luck discovering an older show and then ending up getting invested in a pairing that, IIRC, wasn't as popular as either the end game pairing or the juggernaut one. so if one's inclined to seek fanwork, there won't be as much.

but then again, i was never into the show/fandom myself, i was just watching from the sidelines, so maybe my impressions and recollections about fan activity are inaccurate!

Sorry, it's just that some people on F!S can be kind of... barbedly-snarky in their humor and use not-quite-obviously sarcastic comments.

I liked the end pairings for both Clark and Chloe. I see the appeal, but I like them as friends more.

Aw, I love Clark/Chloe! They were one of my first OTP. (The ship wars back then were scary!!

I think the writers really wrote themselves in the corner with Chloe because she was more Lois Lane than the show's actual Lois Lane. I gave up on the show around season six, because it got so ridiculous.

Look at them. They're just so cute together. :)
