I think insects are fascinating too and I want to like them but I'm scarred by an incident when I was little where I got covered in ants. I can't stand the legs now. I'm always afraid any insect I come across is going to crawl all over me. I still read about them though, and I keep hoping that I'll get better through exposure but the fear only seems to be getting worse.

Ants are really fascinating! And because of the way eusocial insects work, it's still really cool to read about them and learn about their dynamics without having to see/handle them if it makes you uncomfortable.

That does sound like a rather unsettling experience. :/

It is definitely cool to read about them. We talked about eusocial insects in my Philosophy of Biology class and it was fascinating.

I was sleeping in my bed once, and I felt this odd sort of pinching on my collarbone so I went to rub it and there was something there and I grabbed it and looked at it and it was an ant that had been biting me. D:
