Re: School Dress Codes

The OP asked for an explanation to why people get so mad about dress codes, I offered one... At no place did I say Norway was better than any other country, nor did I say it was more enlightened, I said we don't have dress codes, and that we probably could not introduce school uniforms as the people speaking against them are louder than those for.

Heck Norway is not the only country on earth without dress codes in school, and I am sure some of those countries are not as you put it enlightened as Norway. Looking at the wiki article on school uniforms, it seems like about 1/3d of countries have them, and one would assume that countries where school uniforms don't exist don't have dress codes either.
