Ugh, that comic. Started off as a great comic about three friends living their normal lives with a couple of little twists. The twists being a couple of connections to the mob and one friend being in love with the other. Then it ended as a mess. Everyone but one character, Freddie, was bisexual. (To the point that it was silly. Because the way Moore wrote it if he painted himself into a corner, he would make someone bisexual to get out of that corner. Just read it and you'll see what I mean.) Everyone had the unhealthiest relationships. And it was all about the mob. It ended up being so redundant and ridiculous that it ruined the entire comic for me.

Not to mention I got tired how all the women started to look alike in the face department. It was even worse when they were blonde. I had a hard time telling them apart when they weren't speaking.

Sigh...so much wasted potential.

wait i dont think David was bisexual. I'm still pissed they killed him off though. I always thought it was sort of weak, like he couldnt just have the two girls get together and just have David know thats how its going to be. Love triangle? just bump off the man, fixes it fine??

Also yeah everyone blond started looking identical!!!

Agreed! David was the character who drew me into SiP. I always thought Katchoo, Francine, and David would wind up as a threesome by the end. Was I disappointed beyond belief.

yeah!! that would have been good as an end-game too, just an unusual family of love. :< I really liked David.

Especially as it seemed Francine had a crush on David, and he obvious cared about her, too.

CHRIST yes. Watching it go from a wry, human little story to this ridiculous convoluted mess of identical people revealing increasingly-thickly-slathered layers of backstory that essentially constituted retcons... it was awful.

this is the perfect description and should be used as a blurb on the cover of the deluxe SIP anniversary edition.
