No, you know what? I've heard that argument one too many fucking times just today, and now you get to be the one at the other end of the rant everyone else didn't get.

DON'T FUCKING PRETEND THAT DISAGREEMENTS ARE EQUAL. You're clearly pretty stupid, but even you're not that stupid. You, and all those like you, just pretend to be that stupid so that you can advance this pathetic little excuse for an argument.

Just because you don't deserve the right to claim ignorance, let me break this down for you, so that you can never, ever again claim not to know what an embarrassment your argument is.

If I say that nine times nine is eighty-one, and you disagree, then yes, you're an idiot. Just because you disagree with me. And you know that's true.

If I say that you shouldn't mug old ladies, and you disagree, then yes, you're an asshole. Just because you disagree with me. And you know THAT'S true.

And if I say that "You can't call someone names for disagreeing with you!" is a shitty excuse for an argument because it's self-evidently bullshit, and you disagree, then yes, you're pretending to be stupider than you are in order to advance a shitty excuse for an argument.

"Oh, but wait," you're already excitedly typing, "those are extreme examples and not complicated issues like this!" Maybe you're even dragging out the word "strawman" again, excited at a chance to sound clever. WELL WHOOP-DE-FUCKING-DOO, IMMANUEL KANT, YOU JUST DISCOVERED NUANCE. Yes, points of disagreement in the real world are often complex, and YES, abuse based on disagreement over, say, pizza toppings is wrong.

But to assert flatly that one cannot assume or say things about someone just based on a disagreement is not only (as noted above) empirically wrong, it's implicitly claiming that no argument or assertion has any moral, social, or intellectual value. It's claiming that human debate has less meaning or importance than a Facebook game. It is pissing on the actual CONCEPT of issues being important in the real world, all to protect your personal fragile little ego. If your sense of self-worth needs to be that protected, it shouldn't be.

Way ahead of you. I killed myself years ago in a fit of rage and despair over really stupid internet arguments, but my pain and anger were so great that they live on, a furious ghost wandering the forgotten tributaries of the internet, unleashing my fury on whatever unlucky fool happens to cross my path. I can no longer feel anything but anger and contempt, and the pleasures of the flesh are long forgotten. The only flicker of enjoyment, or even sensation, that I can still experience is when I consume some miserable little shit's undeserved ego.

Which is STILL a more satisfying existence than you have, so hey, I got that going for me.
