Ugh, yes. There was so much rape, and tbh I kind of detested almost every single character there.

Oh thank god I'm not the only one who felt that way. Especially Kennit, yeuch. (It didn't help that I could only read his name as Kermit, which meant I both hated him and found him impossible to take seriously.)

The Liveship Traders books completely put me off reading any of her other books - should I give them a chance or are they more of the same?

My gut feeling is forget it. I've tried some of her other stuff, but ultimately nothing really grabbed me. I loved the Assassin and Fool trilogies, but that's it.
