“I'm with you to the end of the line, pal.” (SORRY)

“We'll do something.” (Teen Wolf)

(I know I've seen and loved a million examples of this but I'm blanking... Maybe the Chief/Cortana scenes in Halo 4? And Kirk and Spock have done this a lot.)

You're not sorry, not even a little bit.

Okay, okay, no I'm not.

Plus, “Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone.”
“You're taking all the stupid with you!”
And the hug and, “Punk” and “jerk”. It was very sweet.

Back when they were young and innocent and not so very broken... I know it's sweet but it makes me sad in hindsight(watching Cap 1 again after seeing TWS was fun I tell you, fun).

It is bittersweet, yea. All Bucky ever wanted to do was protect Steve and he “died” trying. Then many years later, Steve risks his life by refusing to further hurt Bucky.

It's so beautiful.

Ugh. I can't remember the exact quote, but when Steve was on the bridge and Sam says that bit about Bucky not being the kind you save, and Bucky not knowing him? And Steve says, “He will.” I think he even smiles a bit. To Steve there is no maybe, he's succeeding! And when he knows it isn't likely he decides death is a better option than having to kill Bucky and/or live in a world where he doesn't know him.

Plus, he wastes so much time on trying to take Bucky out without harming him in any irreparable way. It's amazing he didn't actually run out of time and doom millions of people to death because he refused to kill his best friend.

Oh anon... Will we ever get over this movie? We will EVER? Until we do, let's be with each other (until the end of the line). I'm terrible.

it's ok, elaminator, we'll get through this together ; _ ;

uggghhh, yes. that. He won't fail because he can't. Bucky will know him because he has to. Because the thing about Steve is, he never forgets what it was like to be small, or how Bucky looked out for him when he was small and Bucky was strong. Why did he volunteer for the supersoldier program in the first place, if not to have the chance to do for others what Bucky always tried to do for him?

And now, after all this time, Bucky needs him, but not in the way he imagined; the good person he was has been stolen from him and no one else on earth is left to remember; it's Steve or no one. And maybe he thinks that's why he's here now; that's why he didn't die all those decades ago. Maybe he had to stay alive, for Bucky, to meet him in the darkness where no one else could.

He's not the kind you save, but that doesn't matter. There's nothing else he can do. It's the end. It's everything he is.

There may come a day when I get over this movie, but it is not this day. Probably not tomorrow, either.

Maybe he had to stay alive, for Bucky, to meet him in the darkness when no one else could.

UGH, THAT IS THE MOST GORGEOUS, PROFOUND SENTENCE. I WANT IT ON A T-SHIRT. Do you write? You should write a ship manifesto. I miss ship manifestos...

Ugh, I couldn't possibly love them more but you're making me want to try.

And when he finally has Bucky back, no matter how hard it is or how different Bucky is, I bet Steve will be happier than he's ever been in his life and grateful for his survival, despite knowing everything he's been through.

We need Cap 3...
