...in the summer. Can't find a picture offhand but here are the regs for RCMP winter uniform:

" Winter Clothing

Fur cap (Klondike or Columbia pattern); fur coat or pea jacket (according to weather); black or blue knee stockings and moccasins or felt ankle boots (according to weather); mittens or gloves. Northern divisions issue native clothing as needed. Fur caps or forage caps and peacoats or fur coats worn with Service Order or Review Order in winter as ordered."

Oh, and in case you're wondering why Canadians say Vancouver is a cesspit, this is what the RCMP in BC wear for "big events":

That makes me sad. I like the red uniforms. They're distinctive and friendly.

not trying to be condescending but those RCMP look so cute!

I too didn't know that the red uniform thing wasn't accurate. tbh I did think they were a little dorky but now I'm somehow disappointed...
