If you believe the media companies basically own Governments, then doing something to hurt the media companies is well within the accepted usage of Civil Disobedience.

It all depends on whether you believe there is enough evidence to justify the belief that Governments are controlled by the media companies.

If you look at who sponsors the big blockbusters, it might actually be the other way around. Tells you why even most supposedly anti-war movies aren't even a little bit anti-war.
